Full Lactation Consultation

An in-depth consultation to address breastfeeding problems including how to manage jaundice, difficulty latching, nipple soreness, supply concerns, excessive weight loss/insufficient weight gain, anatomical concerns of mom and baby, plugged duct/breast infection, nursing strikes, and more. Visit includes assessment of baby’s positioning and latch, pre-feed and post-feed weights to determine how much milk baby receives during a feeding session, and evaluation of baby’s suck technique. A personalized plan of care will be provided.

Short Lactation Consulting Session

For exclusively breastfed babies gaining weight at ideal rates, this short coaching session can address any normal concerns, including review of proper positioning and latch, pumping and milk storage education, how to bottle feed a breastfed baby,  how to maintain a healthy breastfeeding relationship between mother and baby when separation may be necessary due to employment or travel, introduction of solid foods, and how to wean when the time is right for mother and baby

Prenatal & Postnatal Education and Support
Increase your chances of breastfeeding success with personalized education and support beginning before your baby is even born and following up at important intervals after your baby arrives. This package deal includes a two hour prenatal education session and three postnatal consultations–when baby is three days old, one week old, and two weeks old.
